His Highness Southern Governor and Chairman of the Security Committee Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, presided over the fourth Security Committee meeting of 2025.
The gathering was attended by Deputy Southern Governor Col. Hamad Mohammed Abdullah Al Khayyat, and Southern Police Station Chief Col. Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, alongside officers from the Interior Ministry’s security directorates.
At the outset of the meeting, HH the Southern Governor commended the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, to strengthen the community outreach and lauded the security authorities’ exceptional efforts in upholding safety and stability across the governorate.
He examined the Security Committee’s report on April’s security statistics and case filings in the Southern Governorate, alongside security arrangements for May. He underscored the effective collaboration and precautionary measures implemented, ensuring the safety and welfare of the residents.
He also assessed the security reports of both the General Directorates of Traffic and Civil Defense, stressing the need for enhanced coordination to bolster readiness and operational effectiveness.
He emphasised strengthening collaboration between the governorate and the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, launching joint security and public awareness initiatives for forthcoming events to enhance safety and foster proactive community engagement.
He also reviewed the security awareness programmes of the Community Police at the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, underscoring their vital role in safeguarding residents and maintaining social order.
