Director-General of Civil Defence Brigadier Ali Mohammed Al-Kubaisi attended the graduation ceremony for the Hazardous Materials Handling Course. The course was organised by the Civil Defence School with the participation of various directorates from the Ministry of Interior, the Bahrain Defense Force, the Intelligence Agency, and the National Guard.
On this occasion, the Director-General emphasised that organising such courses reflects a commitment to developing the skills of personnel from various governmental entities and enhancing their operational competencies. This initiative aims to elevate public safety standards and ensure readiness to respond to emergencies. He pointed out that collaboration with various institutions demonstrates a shared dedication to providing a safe working environment based on the highest safety standards, while continuing to advance specialised training programmes.
The course included theoretical and practical training programmes designed to familiarise participants with the types of hazardous materials, their global classifications, methods for managing potential risks, and inspection procedures for sites containing hazardous materials to ensure compliance with protection and safety standards.
