As part of its awareness efforts to foster community partnership and engage civil society institutions in combating drug abuse, the Criminal Media Division of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science organised an awareness event in collaboration with the University of Bahrain under the slogan: “Together for a Drug-Free Society.”
The initiative falls within the national efforts led by the Ministry of Interior to raise awareness among youth about the dangers of drug abuse, aiming to build an informed generation conscious of its harms to individuals and society.
The Criminal Media Division affirmed its ongoing efforts to deliver lectures and host awareness exhibitions targeting all segments of society. It urged the public to report any information related to drug trafficking or promotion through its WhatsApp number (17715280), the 24/7 anti-narcotics hotline (996), the main operations room (999), or via email at 996@interior.gov.bh, assuring complete confidentiality of all information.
