As part of ongoing efforts to maintain maritime safety, enforce regulations, and ensure compliance by companies renting out rowing boats, the Coast Guard carried out a joint inspection and awareness campaign at the Bahrain Bay coast.
The campaign was carried out in cooperation with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, the Capital Governorate Police Directorate, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the Labour Market Regulatory Authority.
The campaign detected several violations, including individuals found to be in breach of residency laws and others related to illegal fishing. Legal measures were taken accordingly.
The Coast Guard stressed the importance of strict adherence to laws and regulations governing marine activities and fishing. It also affirmed the continuation of such campaigns regularly to apprehend violators and contribute to safeguarding the Kingdom of Bahrain’s maritime safety and natural resources.
