The Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, received an official delegation from the Ministry of Interior of Kuwait, led by Director General of Airport Security Brigadier Bader Al-Shaya.
Assistant Undersecretary for Ports, Search and Follow-up, Brigadier Abdulaziz Al Dossairi, Director-General of Information Systems, Brigadier Engineer Osama Al Wuhaib, and several officials attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation and improve operational mechanisms related to port management and entry-exit procedures. The discussions focused on facilitating passenger movement, improving service efficiency, and ensuring optimal levels of flow and security.
The NPRA Undersecretary highlighted the longstanding historical ties between the two countries. He stressed the Interior Ministry’s commitment to strengthening and expanding cooperation, particularly in security and administrative matters related to border crossings. He also underlined the importance of exchanging expertise and best practices in service development, which aligns with digital transformation goals and aims to enhance institutional performance and elevate the quality of services provided to citizens and residents.
The Kuwaiti delegation conducted field visits to Khalifa Bin Salman Port, Bahrain International Airport, and the King Fahad Causeway, where they observed workflow procedures and the latest technologies used in border management.
This visit is part of ongoing cooperation and coordination among GCC interior ministries, which aims to support security integration and enhance regional operational systems.
