The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, received Dana Kamal, Director of International Business Development for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). The Director-General of Civil Defence, Brigadier Ali Mohammed Al Kubaisi, attended.
The meeting discussed topics of common interest, including the potential benefits of international expertise in enhancing preventative systems and general safety. Both sides also reviewed training cooperation and the implementation of relevant international standards.
The Chief praised the NFPA’s role in raising awareness and promoting a culture of safety, affirming the Interior Ministry’s commitment to staying abreast of the latest technological and scientific developments in fire prevention. He stressed that these efforts are essential to safeguarding lives and property and enhancing public security.
For her part, the NEFA official thanked the Chief for the warm reception and commended the Ministry’s efforts in advancing safety and accident prevention frameworks in Bahrain. She affirmed the NFPA’s readiness to support training programmes and knowledge exchange initiatives.
