On the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the World Police Summit 2025, the Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, participated in the launch of Dubai Police's cybercrime awareness platform. The ceremony was held in the presence of the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Lt-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri.
The Chief expressed his appreciation to the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for the kind invitation to attend the launch. He highlighted the platform’s objectives in reaching all segments of society to raise awareness and curb cybercrimes, especially amid the rise in digital forgery, identity theft, and electronic fraud. He also stressed the importance of educating the public on the correct methods to secure and protect personal data.
He praised Dubai Police’s leading role in adopting and developing artificial intelligence applications in policing, which has enabled the force to achieve advanced global rankings in the field. This progress, he noted, reflects a forward-looking vision and an ongoing commitment to leveraging modern technologies to enhance public safety, in line with global developments, and in support of building a smart and sustainable security system.
The Chief also congratulated Dubai Police on obtaining ISO 42001 certification during the summit and commended the successful organisation and preparation of the event, which significantly contributed to achieving its intended goals.
He further praised the summit’s objectives and its role in advancing policing practices that contribute to the safety and security of communities worldwide. He highlighted the value of the summit’s programmes, conferences, and security exhibitions focused on the future of policing in light of rapid technological advancements and AI applications. These, he noted, play a vital role in developing specialised police sectors and enhancing crime prevention efforts through optimal utilisation of human resources and modern technologies to protect societies from all types of crime.
