President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, affirmed that the achievement of platinum and gold classifications by Customs Affairs’ service centres under the Government Service Centre Evaluation Programme “Taqyeem 5” is the result of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which aim to empower government service centres to deliver top services that meet community expectations with the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness.
He praised His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa's substantial support and guidance in advancing the customs service system and providing high-quality, competitive services that meet the needs of all stakeholders.
The Remote Customer Service Centre of Customs Affairs received the platinum classification, while the Unified Customs Clearance Centre and the Government Service Centre at the Directorate of Customs Land Ports obtained the gold classification.
The Customs President described this achievement as a further milestone of Customs Affairs, expressing his pride in the national workforce. He also commended the efforts of the service centre supervision team for its key role in attaining this distinction.
