The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Royal Academy of Police (RAP), received David Park, Dean of the Business School at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom.
The Deputy Chief of Public Security, the RAP, the Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources, and the Assistant Chief of Public Security for Operations and Training attended the meeting.
At the outset of the meeting, the Chief welcomed the visiting Dean. He highlighted the role of the RAP in developing and qualifying police personnel to enhance performance within the policing system.
The meeting discussed joint academic and training cooperation and the exchange of scientific and practical expertise in line with advancements in artificial intelligence and innovative policing applications. It also reviewed joint programmes to enhance the competencies of the Ministry of Interior personnel and RAP students.
For his part, the Dean of the Business School expressed his gratitude to the Chief for the warm reception. He praised the advancements observed in the Kingdom’s security, educational, and training sectors.
