The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, received the Head of the Mental Healthcare and Addiction Affairs Division at the Health and Social Affairs Directorate, Dr Dania Naji Kabli, on the occasion of her obtaining a PhD from the Arabian Gulf University.
During the meeting, the Chief was presented with a copy of her thesis, “The Effectiveness of a Counselling Programme in Modifying Criminal Thinking and Maladaptive Behaviour among High-Performing Alternative Sentencing Individuals in the Kingdom of Bahrain.” The study is recognised as the first psychological counselling research of its kind in the Gulf region.
The Chief congratulated Dr Kabli on this academic achievement and praised the study's content, which focuses on promoting psychological awareness across various segments of society. He highlighted the importance of such research in supporting security and social work efforts and wished her continued success in her academic and professional journey.
