The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, participated in the graduation ceremony of the “Rapid Intervention and Building Breach” course, held in cooperation with the French Interior Ministry and with the participation of officers and personnel from the Special Security Force and the Protocol and VIP Protection Directorate.
The Commander of the Special Security Force, Major-General Waleed Al Shamsi, and the Assistant Chief of Public Security for Operations and Training, Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Harram, were also present.
The Chief praised His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa's instructions to enhance the efficiency and readiness of security personnel and his commitment to advancing the security training system by the latest international standards. He stressed that such efforts directly contribute to delivering high-quality security services that promote public trust and fulfil the core mission of policing.
He highlighted the importance of this specialised course in strengthening the tactical capabilities of the Ministry of Interior personnel. The training programme enhanced field readiness by enabling participants to conduct swift and effective interventions against armed groups, practice tactical movement in open and high-risk environments, and neutralise threats in confined areas while safeguarding property. He emphasised that the course reflected a high level of integration among the participating units through shared tactics and techniques, which promote collective performance and operational cooperation.
The Chief also expressed his appreciation to the French Interior Ministry for collaborating in organising such programmes and hopes for further joint training and cooperation with French police and security forces. He also thanked the course organisers for their dedication and efforts to develop skills and improve efficiency, contributing to greater effectiveness within the security personnel.
At the end of the ceremony, the Chief of Public Security honoured the participants, commending their excellence and discipline, which reflect their commitment to advancing operational readiness and performance. He wished them continued success in their service to the nation’s security.
