The Coast Guard held a graduation ceremony for participants in the foundational marine sciences course for women police personnel, in the presence of the Director-General of Women Police, Major-General Mona Abdulraheem, and Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Organisation, Shaikha Mashael bint Khalifa Al Khalifa.
The Director-General of Women Police praised the Coast Guard for organising and conducting the course, which aims to equip participants with the skills and professionalism needed to operate effectively in various maritime environments.
She highlighted that the initiative reflects the strategic vision set by His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, emphasising the development of human capital and the readiness of all Ministry personnel across specialisations.
For his part, the Acting Commander of the Coast Guard underscored the importance of empowering women in maritime security as a key pillar in strengthening and modernising law enforcement capabilities at sea and along the coasts. He noted that such training plays a vital role in enhancing operational performance and achieving higher levels of preparedness and response.
