The Coast Guard, in cooperation with the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, has organised an awareness campaign at Al Jazaer Beach.
The campaign reflects the principle of community partnership with various civil society institutions and members of the public. It is part of the ongoing implementation of plans to enhance public awareness of safety guidelines in coastal areas and ensure the well-being of all beachgoers.
The campaign included guidance on general safety rules, proper conduct during marine emergencies, the importance of closely monitoring children while swimming, wearing life jackets, and keeping up to date with weather conditions to avoid swimming in areas with strong currents or during high winds.
Additionally, awareness brochures in multiple languages were distributed to beach visitors, along with commemorative gifts.
