The Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources, Major-General Adel Ameen, headed the Interior Ministry’s delegation to the joint Arab meeting on “Assessing legal frameworks and strategies for protecting and promoting the rights and needs of victims of terrorism,” held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
During the meeting, he presented a working paper outlining the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts and experiences in supporting victims of terrorism. He highlighted the Kingdom’s strong commitment to international human rights standards and its focus on ensuring the dignity and rights of victims.
The meeting addressed several key topics, including a proposal to establish a voluntary Arab fund to support victims of terrorism. It also featured real-life testimonies from victims and resulted in a series of recommendations aimed at strengthening Arab cooperation in this field.
