The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), in cooperation with the Verdict Enforcement Directorate at the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, has arrested several runaway domestic workers for violating residency and labour regulations, as well as the individual who assisted them in working illegally on an hourly basis.
The NPRA stated that, following multiple reported cases, an investigation was launched, revealing that an individual had been employing the runaway workers in violation of Bahrain’s residency and employment laws. The efforts led to the identification and apprehension of all involved.
Legal procedures were taken, and the individuals have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
