As part of ongoing international cooperation and coordination in combating crime and apprehending offenders, the Interpol and International Affairs Directorate at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security arrested a 58-year-old Asian woman who was internationally wanted by a friendly country in connection with a human trafficking case.
The arrest was made following the issuance of a Red Notice against her by the International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL).
The Directorate stated that, in accordance with legal procedures and coordination with the Public Prosecution, the individual was handed over to the security authorities in the requesting country.
