As part of joint efforts to enhance public awareness and promote a culture of safety, the Community Police Division at the Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Protection and Safety Directorate of the General Directorate of Civil Defence, carried out a fire prevention awareness and inspection campaign covering several markets and commercial establishments across various areas of Muharraq Governorate.
The campaign coincided with the beginning of the summer season, a period when fire-related incidents become more likely due to rising temperatures. It aimed to raise awareness and promote public safety practices.
During the campaign, restaurant and shop owners were briefed on the essential safety and security requirements they must follow to prevent incidents. Guidance was also provided on the correct use of fire extinguishers. The campaign included inspections to ensure the safety of electrical wiring and the proper placement of gas cylinders in compliance with safety regulations.
