The General Directorate of Traffic has announced the arrest of two individuals who drove their vehicles against the flow of traffic on Charter Road in Sanad, endangering their lives and the lives of others.
The arrest was made in response to a video that was circulated on several social media platforms. The traffic patrols promptly took legal action and arrested one of the drivers, aged 25. The second driver, aged 31, was apprehended by the Operations Directorate patrols.
Preliminary information indicates that one of the drivers was under the influence of narcotic substances and in an abnormal condition at the time of the incident.
The General Directorate affirmed that it will not tolerate traffic violations and behaviours that pose a threat to public safety. It urged all motorists to strictly adhere to traffic laws and regulations to protect lives and property.
