As part of its ongoing efforts to protect marine resources and preserve the environment, Coast Guard patrols have seized a number of prohibited fish traps (known locally as Qarageer) in the areas of Fasht Al Azm and Umm Jaleed.
The Coast Guard reaffirmed its commitment to continuing enforcement operations to curb violations, in line with the Kingdom’s updated maritime laws aimed at safeguarding the marine environment and enhancing security within territorial waters.
