The Criminal Investigation Directorate at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science has arrested a 40-year-old individual for stealing items from a farm after deliberately damaging its surveillance cameras.
The Directorate explained that upon receiving the case, immediate investigations were launched, leading to the identification of the suspect. He was arrested in possession of the stolen items, which were valued at BD3000.
Relevant proceedings were taken, and the suspect was referred to the competent police station.
The Directorate stressed the importance of ensuring that surveillance systems are functional and regularly maintained. It also urged the public to cooperate with security authorities by reporting any suspicious or unlawful activities via the 24-hour operations centre at 999, assuring full confidentiality.
