RAP organises an awareness lecture

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote preventive awareness and foster a culture of safety, the Royal Academy of Police (RAP), in cooperation with the Executive Office of the National Committee for Civil Emergency Management at the General Directorate of Civil Defence, organised a specialised awareness lecture titled “The Importance of the National Civil Protection Platform.” The event was attended by Commandant of the Royal Police Academy Major-General Fawaz Hasan Al Hasan, along with a number of officers, affiliates, and trainees.

 

The Commander emphasised that the lecture aligns with the Academy’s commitment to supporting national efforts aimed at reinforcing public safety. He highlighted the significance of the National Civil Protection Platform in enhancing emergency preparedness and response capabilities, as well as in equipping individuals with essential information and guidance to manage risks professionally and efficiently.

Also, he commended the efforts made by the General Directorate of Civil Defence in safeguarding lives and property, expressing his thanks to all its personnel.

 

The lecture covered several key topics, including the operational mechanisms of the platform, the technological tools it offers to accelerate emergency response, and its pivotal role in reinforcing community safety and empowering individuals to take appropriate actions during crises. The event witnessed active engagement from attendees, reflecting a growing awareness of the importance of such national initiatives.

 

This lecture forms part of a series of awareness and training activities conducted by the Academy in collaboration with relevant entities, aimed at enhancing the readiness of security personnel and strengthening cooperation in the fields of prevention and public safety among relevant entities.
