As part of its efforts to preserve marine resources and address violations, the Coast Guard has carried out a joint awareness and inspection campaign in Budaiya. This initiative was conducted in cooperation and coordination with the Northern Governorate Police Directorate, the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, the General Directorate of Marine Resources at the Supreme Council for Environment, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, the Ministry of Health, and the Northern Municipality.
During the campaign, several violators of fishing regulations and unlicensed expats were arrested, and legal action was taken against them.
The Coast Guard stressed that all seafarers should comply with the Kingdom’s marine fishing laws and regulations, affirming that these enforcement campaigns will persist to safeguard Bahrain’s marine resources.
