As part of ongoing efforts to combat crime and protect society from the dangers of drugs, the Anti-Narcotics Directorate at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science has arrested two individuals of different nationalities in two separate cases, one of which was carried out in cooperation with Customs Affairs. The individuals were found in possession of narcotics with an estimated street value exceeding BD 39,000.
The directorate stated that upon receiving information regarding the two incidents, investigation and intelligence operations were immediately launched, leading to the identification and arrest of the suspects. One of the individuals had imported a postal package containing narcotics through the Air Customs Port. The seized substances were confiscated, and legal measures were taken to refer both cases to the Public Prosecution.
The Criminal Media Division at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science urged the public to cooperate with security authorities by reporting any drug-related activities via the hotline (996), the main operations room (999), or by email at 996@interior.gov.bh.
