The Criminal Investigation Directorate at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science has arrested a man and a woman of Asian nationality for stealing a gold bar valued at approximately BD 4,000 from a jewellery shop in Manama.
The investigation into the received information led to the identification of the suspects, their arrest, and the recovery of the stolen gold bar from their possession.
The General Directorate confirmed that the necessary legal procedures have been taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
Meanwhile, the Criminal Media Division urged all commercial establishments to ensure that their surveillance camera systems are functional and undergo regular maintenance. It also emphasised the importance of cooperation with relevant security authorities. It encouraged the public to report any suspicious or unlawful activities by contacting the central operations room on 999, ensuring complete confidentiality.
