The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, received the Director-General of the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority of the United Arab Emirates, Ali Al Neyadi, and his accompanying delegation, as part of efforts to enhance regional cooperation and coordination in emergency and disaster management, as well as to exchange expertise in logistics support and rapid response to emergencies.
During the meeting, the Chief welcomed the delegation, praising the strong ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. He emphasised that such meetings offer a valuable opportunity to unite efforts and share best practices in disaster and emergency management, thereby improving national preparedness. The visit aligns with ongoing coordination between relevant agencies in both countries, strengthening security and humanitarian cooperation, and highlighting the importance of Gulf solidarity in facing emerging challenges and risks.
The meeting also discussed ways to further develop the strategic partnership between the two sides in areas such as early warning systems, the exchange of vital information during crises, capacity-building, and strengthening national systems' readiness to confront various types of hazards and disasters. Both sides reaffirmed the importance of joint coordination within the framework of bilateral cooperation to ensure effective response mechanisms and enhance community safety and regional stability.
For his part, Al Neyadi expressed appreciation for the Kingdom of Bahrain’s outstanding efforts in civil protection and emergency preparedness, stressing the UAE authority’s keenness to strengthen cooperation and share successful experiences that serve mutual interests and bolster regional crisis response capabilities.
