As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the health sector and promoting the values of social solidarity, the Northern Governorate held a coordination meeting chaired by Northern Governor, Ali Abdulhussain Al Asfoor. The meeting was attended by the Chairman and members of the Malkiya Charity Society, the President of the Bahrain Society for Sickle Cell Patients Care, as well as several representatives from the Ministry of Health and government hospitals. The meeting aimed to discuss the arrangements for launching a blood donation campaign under the slogan “Your Blood is Life.”
The Governor noted that the campaign aims to support the Central Blood Bank and meet the needs of patients, particularly those with sickle cell anaemia.
