As part of ongoing security efforts by the Coast Guard to maintain maritime security and protect the marine environment, maritime patrols arrested five Asians in three separate incidents for violating fishing regulations by using nets in the northern maritime areas of Bahrain. A total of six fishing nets were confiscated.
The Coast Guard reaffirmed its commitment to continuing these campaigns to arrest violators and protect marine, environmental, and wildlife resources. It also stressed the importance of fishermen adhering to the laws and regulations governing fishing activities.
