Director-General of Inspection and Customs Security Major General Abdullah Hamad Al-Kubaisi, at the Customs Affairs, participated in the Extraordinary Meeting of Arab Customs Directors-General held at the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
The meeting discussed the report and recommendations issued by the meeting of legal officials in Arab customs directorates, to strengthen the regulatory and institutional framework of the Arab Council for Customs Affairs. It also addressed several topics related to enhancing joint Arab customs cooperation and updating customs policies in line with recent developments to facilitate smoother intra-Arab trade.
The participants also agreed on the follow-up of previous decisions and the development of joint work mechanisms to support efforts toward Arab economic integration in the customs field. This is intended to improve operational efficiency, confront challenges, achieve sustainable development, and strengthen economic and social ties among Arab countries.
