As part of ongoing efforts to protect the marine environment and maintain maritime security, the Coast Guard patrols have seized 50 illegal fishing traps (known locally as garageer), which are prohibited for use. The seizure took place in the maritime area located south of Fasht Al-Adhm.
The Coast Guard stated that legal procedures have been taken. It affirmed its continued monitoring operations to combat such violations to safeguard marine resources. This aligns with the laws and regulations in force in the Kingdom of Bahrain and reflects the Coast Guard's role in preserving environmental security and promoting marine sustainability.
