The Muharraq Governor, Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, commended the prominent role played by the Bahrain Society for Tolerance and Coexistence of Religions (Ta'ayush), in spreading values of tolerance and understanding among various segments of society. He highlighted the association’s efforts to foster a culture of harmony and mutual respect, praising its exceptional initiatives and activities that contribute to showcasing the Kingdom of Bahrain as a symbol of tolerance and openness.
During the meeting with Mr. Yousif Mohammed Buzaboon, the Chairman of Bahrain Society for Religious Coexistence and Tolerance, the Governor was presented with a copy of the book "In the Hospitality of the King of Peace", which talks about the visit of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and the Pope of the Vatican to Bahrain, showing how the King of Bahrain, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, works to encourage dialogue and peaceful coexistence between different religions.
The Governor expressed his deep appreciation for the association's efforts in preparing this book and supporting the principles of peaceful coexistence, praising its achievements that reflect Bahrain's civilisational vision.
The Chairman conveyed his sincere gratitude to the Governor for his continued support and recognition of the association's efforts, commending the role of the Muharraq Governorate in backing national initiatives aimed at strengthening community harmony.
