As part of its efforts to ensure maritime safety, address violations, and take necessary enforcement actions, the Coast Guard conducted a joint inspection campaign across several shores in Muharraq Governorate. The campaign was carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), the Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate, and the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA).
The campaign aimed to verify the implementation of safety procedures along the shores, ensure that expatriate workers comply with residency and labour laws, and inspect marine tourism companies for adherence to regulations governing their operations. Several violations were recorded during the campaign, and legal measures were taken against those found in breach of the law.
The Coast Guard emphasised the importance of adhering to laws and regulations related to marine activities and fishing, noting that such campaigns will continue on a regular basis to apprehend violators and promote public safety.
