Muharraq Governorate has launched inspection campaigns on swimming pools across the governorate to verify compliance with public safety and health requirements, as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure a safe environment for all members of the community during the summer break.
In this regard, the Deputy Governor of Muharraq Governorate, Colonel Jassim bin Mohammed Al Ghatam, affirmed that the committee responsible for overseeing swimming pools has commenced its field visits according to a pre-set summer schedule.
These visits, carried out in coordination with a joint committee comprising representatives from relevant ministries and official bodies, aim to examine the safety of pools and their adherence to legal, health, and safety standards. The campaign also includes documenting violations and taking immediate legal action against unlicensed or non-compliant pools.
The inspections focus on ensuring the availability and functionality of essential safety tools, such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and rescue equipment, as well as verifying the integrity of electrical wiring, gas pipelines, and water quality to protect pool users and maintain public safety.
