MOI

Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), and Chairman of the Anti-Violence and Addiction Committee, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, received the Director of Crime Prevention and Head of Maan Programme Ali Ameeni, Dr. Khawla Hazeem Al Shamsi, and members of the research team from the Maan Regional Centre for Research and Training. The meeting came in recognition of their outstanding contributions in representing the programme at regional and international academic platforms and their success in achieving top ranks in research competitions.
NPRA Undersecretary praised the team’s efforts and the scientific research they presented, which contributes to enhancing community safety. He noted that such accomplishments reflect the advanced image of Bahrain’s police force and elevate its academic presence on international research stages.
During the meeting, he honoured the team members, highlighting the pioneering role of the Maan Regional Centre in developing security and social research. He emphasised the significance of these studies in supporting decision-making processes and strengthening institutional integration in the field of scientific security research.
He further called for the expansion of such initiatives, urging the development of a scientific code documenting collaboration between security authorities and academic institutions in line with internationally recognised standards. This, he said, would support the advancement of the security sector and solidify principles of sustainable partnership in specialised research.
