The Human Resources Directorate at the Ministry of Interior has won the 2025 Bahrain Digital Content Award in the “Government-Citizen Partnership” category. The award recognised the design of a digital application as part of a national project aimed at using artificial intelligence to monitor and increase recovery rates from addiction, demonstrating the Interior Ministry's commitment to adopting advanced programmes and technologies in its services.
On this occasion, Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources, Major-General Adel Ameen, affirmed that the achievement reflects the continued support of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. That support, he said, has played a vital role in enhancing the capabilities of the Interior Ministry personnel, developing digital content, and fostering innovation in creating new digital solutions that improve service quality.
He also commended the cooperation with the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, praising its role in implementing the national project that leverages AI to track and increase drug addiction recovery rates. He noted that the project aims to integrate AI capabilities, mimicking human cognitive functions, to understand behavioural variables affecting addicts, thus contributing to shaping effective policies and solutions at both the individual and national levels.
The Assistant Undersecretary expressed appreciation for the efforts of the working team, stressing that this award serves as a motivation to accelerate digital transformation further and enhance institutional performance.
