As part of the Interior Ministry’s efforts to combat irregular employment and ensure compliance with residency and labour regulations, the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), in cooperation with relevant directorates and the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), carried out a series of inspection campaigns during the first half of 2025 as part of its ongoing efforts to enforce the law and regulate the labour market.
Statistics indicate that 6,988 violators were deported during this period, following inspections involving 98,428 individuals. Legal action was taken against those found in violation of the Kingdom’s residency laws and regulations.
The NPRA affirmed the continuation of these campaigns in coordination with the concerned entities to protect social security and ensure the application of laws and regulations. It stressed the importance of adhering to legal requirements to support the stability of the labour market and maintain public order.
The NPRA also urged citizens and residents to report any violations related to residency or labour laws by contacting the call centre at 17077077 or via email at info@npra.gov.bh, noting that community cooperation is vital in supporting national efforts to uphold security and public order.
Furthermore, the NPRA advised expatriate residents facing travel-related issues to visit the Travel Facilitation Office at the NPRA to complete the necessary procedures and ensure all requirements are met before departing the Kingdom.
