Dignitaries and attendees of family majlises in the areas of Askar and Jau expressed their deep appreciation for the visit by His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to their respective communities and majlises.
The hosts noted that the visit was a valuable opportunity to express their unwavering loyalty and heartfelt gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. They also praised His Majesty’s directives on preserving Bahraini traditions, authentic values, and the essence of noble conduct and mutual respect.
They commended the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the continued efforts in launching initiatives and projects that benefit the citizens.
His Excellency the Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Follow-Up Committee of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Value of Citizenship (Bahrainouna), visited the majlises of the Al-Kaabi and Al-Buainain families in Askar, and the Al-Rumaihi and Al-Fadhala families in Jau. During the visit, he met with local dignitaries in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Southern Governor, along with a number of ministry officials.
Throughout these meetings, the Minister discussed key service-related and socio-economic concerns raised by residents, in addition to addressing security and social issues—reflecting the active community partnership model pursued by the Ministry.
In this context, Shura Council Member Mr. Juma Mohammed Al-Kaabi stated that the Minister’s visit carried profound national implications, foremost among them being His Excellency’s commitment to affirming the Bahraini identity in all its cultural and social forms.
Al-Kaabi emphasised that family majlises play a vital role in preserving authentic Bahraini traditions.
He also pointed out the educational role majlises play in passing these values to the younger generation.
Concluding his statement, Al-Kaabi expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Interior for the visit, expressing hope for future visits due to their positive impact in fostering national unity and strengthening the values of loyalty and belonging.
For his part, Mr. Isa Khamis Al-Kaabi praised the Minister’s emphasis on preserving all aspects of Bahraini identity, noting that safeguarding this identity is a national duty shared by all members of society.
Director-General of Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate Brigadier Sultan Ahmed Al-Kaabi remarked that the visit carried deep symbolic meaning, reinforcing the commitment to preserving authentic Bahraini identity and highlighting the importance of direct engagement with citizens.
Similarly, Mr. Ahmed Al-Buainain emphasised that Bahraini majlises are fundamental in preserving national customs and traditions.
He affirmed that majlises contribute to strengthening community partnerships and instilling national belonging, serving as a legacy handed down through generations.
Mr. Abdullatif bin Mohammed Al-Buainain also extended his appreciation to the Minister for his gracious visit to the majlises in Askar. He emphasised the vital role these gatherings play in reinforcing the Bahraini identity and educating younger generations about the customs and traditions.
He also thanked the Southern Governor for his continued efforts in enhancing services and maintaining regular dialogue with the public, highlighting true community partnership between citizens and official institutions.
In a related statement, Mr. Khamis bin Hamad Al-Rumaihi affirmed that the visit was a tangible expression of national cohesion, reflecting the spirit of Bahrain’s united family. Retired Brigadier Dr. Khalid Ali Al-Rumaihi praised the approach of direct engagement established by His Majesty the King, aimed at strengthening the bond between leadership and citizens and ensuring continued security, stability, and prosperity across the Kingdom.
He noted that the visit reflects the longstanding legacy of the Bahraini leadership in staying closely connected with its people and exemplifies the openness and unity between leadership and citizens.
He added that Bahraini majlises are an integral part of the social and cultural fabric, especially in villages that continue to uphold their rich heritage.
Retired Major General Khalid Al-Fadhala emphasised that the visit clearly focused on affirming all aspects of the Bahraini identity. He noted that the village of Jau, like other villages in Bahrain, is home to respected families that remain steadfast in their commitment to authentic customs and traditions.
