In line with the Southern Governorate’s commitment to maintaining constant communication with citizens, His Highness Southern Governor, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, hosted a meeting at the Southern Governorate’s Majlis with several Members of the Council of Representatives, local dignitaries, and representatives of civil society institutions in the governorate.
At the outset, HH Southern Governor stressed the importance of strengthening engagement with citizens and meeting their needs across all sectors, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He noted that directly listening to citizens’ opinions and suggestions is a cornerstone of the Governorate’s approach, in line with the Kingdom’s forward-looking vision in the areas of security, services, and social development.
He also expressed his appreciation, on behalf of himself and the people of the Southern Governorate, for the instructions of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa during his recent visit and meeting with residents of the governorate, as part of his field visits.
