As part of its ongoing monitoring of content published on social media platforms, the Anti-Cyber Crime Directorate of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security has summoned and arrested a 53-year-old individual for posting videos on one of the platforms that targeted and demeaned a specific sect, inciting sedition and harming civil peace.
The Directorate confirmed that all necessary legal measures had been taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution. It urged everyone to abide by laws and regulations, exercise social responsibility when using social media and online platforms, and refrain from publishing or circulating any content that is legally prohibited.
