On the occasion of the World Day against Trafficking in Persons 2025, the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science organised a workshop attended by specialists from within the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the title: “The Kingdom of Bahrain’s Efforts in Combating Human Trafficking, Maintaining Its Leading Position for Seven Consecutive Years in the US Department of State Report.”
At the outset of the workshop, the Director of the Anti-Human Trafficking and Public Moral Protection Directorate, Col, Abdulwahab Rashid affirmed Bahrain’s continued commitment to combating the crime of human trafficking. He highlighted that this year’s commemoration was particularly significant as the Kingdom had maintained its Tier 1 ranking for the seventh consecutive year in the US Department of State’s Trafficking in Persons Report.
The Director expressed his appreciation to the Chairman and members of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons for their significant efforts and fruitful cooperation with all stakeholders to sustain Bahrain’s achievements in this field. He also extended thanks to all Anti-Human Trafficking Directorate personnel for their dedication, reflecting the collective efforts led by the Ministry of Interior to uphold human rights values without discrimination based on religion, language, or ethnicity. These efforts, he added, embody the Interior Ministry’s policies and reflect Bahrain’s commitment, rooted in its Arab and Islamic values and ethics, to maintaining its leading position in combating this crime.
