As part of ongoing efforts to safeguard the marine environment and maintain maritime security, Coast Guard patrols have, in separate incidents, seized 46 illegal fishing traps (Gargoor).
The Coast Guard stated that the necessary legal procedures have been taken regarding these violations, reaffirming its continued monitoring and surveillance operations to combat all forms of maritime infractions. It emphasised its commitment to protecting marine resources through the enforcement of applicable laws and regulations in the Kingdom of Bahrain, reflecting its vital role in promoting environmental security and achieving marine sustainability.
