Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, visited the National Civil Emergency Management Centre, where he met with the Deputy Chief of Public Security, Major-General Dr. Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
During the visit, the official was briefed on the operations of the Executive Office of the National Committee for Civil Emergency Management and gained insight into the overall emergency management system, including coordination plans among relevant entities in areas such as early warning and field response.
At the outset of the visit, he received a detailed presentation on the operational and technical capabilities of the centre, as well as the readiness of systems designed to address risks and disasters, highlighting the advancement of the emergency infrastructure and the competence of national response teams.
The official praised the vital role of the National Committee for Civil Emergency Management and its integrated efforts, which reflect a leading national model of institutional cooperation and contribute to strengthening overall preparedness to face various challenges.
The visit also included a review of joint coordination mechanisms and command-and-control protocols, in addition to discussions on national programmes aimed at enhancing preparedness through joint exercises and execution plans based on Bahrain’s national emergency management framework, focusing on improving response capabilities and integrating national efforts.
