The Coast Guard, in cooperation with the Northern Governorate Police Directorate, organised an awareness campaign at Budaiya Beach.
The campaign was part of the community partnership principle with various institutions and members of civil society.
The campaign included presenting safety guidelines and correct procedures in cases of maritime incidents. It also stressed the importance of monitoring children and not leaving them alone while swimming, as well as the need to wear life jackets and follow weather updates to avoid swimming in areas with strong currents or during high winds.
The campaign also involved distributing multilingual awareness leaflets and life jackets to beachgoers.
