Southern Governorate concludes sixth edition of Governor’s Security and Social Programme

As part of the support and commitment of His Highness Southern Governor, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Deputy Southern Governor Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayyat attended the closing ceremony of the sixth edition of the Governor’s Security and Social Programme for 2025. The event followed the programme’s outstanding success in previous years. It was held in cooperation with several Interior Ministry security directorates and the Khalifa Bin Zayed Foundation, with the attendance of officials from the governorate and representatives from Interior Ministry directorates. The programme also reflects the Southern Governorate’s recognition as a Healthy City.
The initiative is part of the Southern Governorate’s approach to implementing a variety of programmes and initiatives aimed at raising public awareness of security and community matters, in line with the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. The programme’s vision focuses on equipping participants with the skills to engage and interact effectively in serving the community.
The Deputy Governor honoured participants and partners by presenting certificates, praising the efforts of organisers and contributors for their role in the successful execution of the programme.
The 2025 edition attracted a broad participation from both genders and featured a series of lectures, workshops, and field visits. These activities addressed key challenges facing young people, aiming to enhance their awareness and ensure their safety and security.
