The Interior Ministry announced that the Coast Guard organised an awareness campaign in the maritime area of Durrat Al Bahrain, as part of a community partnership with various civil society institutions, by implementing programmes aimed at enhancing public awareness on safety guidelines when visiting coastal areas.
The campaign included presentations on safety instructions and the required steps in the event of maritime accidents, and advised parents to supervise children and not leave them unattended while swimming. It also stressed the importance of wearing life jackets and monitoring weather conditions to avoid swimming in areas with strong currents or during high winds.
