The Executive Office of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism (Bahrainouna) took part in the Youth City 2030 activities with an interactive pavilion featuring a wide range of programmes, competitions, and workshops. The event drew remarkable attendance and active engagement from visitors of all age groups, particularly youth and adolescents.
The cultural, recreational, and interactive competitions organised within the pavilion attracted significant participation. The activities contributed to promoting national values and strengthening citizenship concepts through innovative means, including digital contests, group challenges, and educational workshops.
The General Supervisor of the Executive Office, Major-General Mohammed Bin Daina, extended his sincere thanks and appreciation for the support given to “Bahrainouna” initiatives by the Chairman of the Ministerial Follow-up Committee of the National Plan, His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. He emphasised that this support represents a “Message of Achievement,” enriching the objectives of the plan with effective mechanisms rooted in community engagement.
He highlighted that Bahrain’s youth are a vital societal component, embodying hope and driving a brighter future. They are the cornerstone of more than 100 initiatives under “Bahrainouna,” reflecting their creative ideas and unique capabilities. He stressed that participation in Youth City 2030 was a testament to belonging to the nation and commitment to upholding core values.
He underlined that participation in Youth City 2030 formed a new milestone within a series of national initiatives aimed at empowering youth and broadening community participation in instilling national identity and values. He praised the contributions of the plan’s strategic partners, educational institutions, civil society organisations, and youth clubs, all of whom played a key role in ensuring the success of this national initiative.
He also extended deep gratitude to the Minister of Youth Affairs, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, for organising this national event, as well as to Al Salam Bank for its continued support of “Bahrainouna” initiatives, alongside partners from both public and private sectors, who helped turn the pavilion into a vibrant space reflecting youth aspirations.
Among the highlighted activities was the “Our Values are Gold” competition, where participants shared photos and videos expressing national values via social media. Two weekly winners received cash prizes. Another competition, “I Challenge You to Answer,” drew strong youth participation, with four-member teams competing in knockout rounds. Winning teams of the first and second places were awarded cash prizes. For younger participants aged 9 to 14, the “Treasure of the Night” contest focused on enhancing critical thinking and reinforcing citizenship values, with 12 winners receiving cash awards.
The “Bahrainouna” pavilion welcomed thousands of participants throughout the event, including young people, families, visitors, delegations, and officials. The initiative earned wide praise for its role in strengthening youth awareness of national identity.
As part of community partnerships, (Bahraonouna) in collaboration with the “Basmat Watan” team, organised a cultural competition attended by more than 50 young men and women, encouraging teamwork and interactively promoting national values. Additionally, in partnership with director Jan Al Balooshi, a short film workshop was held, resulting in the production of three youth-led films, each creatively depicting a national value through innovative storytelling.
