The Interior Ministry announced that, as part of its efforts to support the social and humanitarian dimension of rehabilitation and reformation programmes, the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing organised a summer activity for the children of beneficiaries of the Alternative Sentencing and Open Prisons Programme.
The event featured a variety of educational and recreational programmes focusing on skill development, teamwork, and active participation.
The activities included purposeful initiatives that enhanced the children’s abilities and provided them with practical knowledge and experiences, positively reflecting on their behaviour and community engagement. This initiative aligns with the ministry’s strategy to strengthen family and social care for the beneficiaries.
The directorate affirmed that such activities complement reformation initiatives by extending support to social and family rehabilitation, helping to create a stable family environment that protects and empowers children while supporting proper reintegration of beneficiaries into society.
