The Ministry of Interior announced that the Coast Guard, in cooperation with the Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate, carried out an awareness campaign at Amwaj Beach. The campaign comes within the framework of community partnership with various civil society institutions through the implementation of programmes aimed at enhancing public awareness regarding safety guidelines when visiting the coasts.
The campaign emphasised the importance of parents supervising their children and not leaving them unattended while swimming, the necessity of wearing life jackets, and monitoring weather conditions to avoid swimming in areas with strong currents or during high winds. It also included presenting public safety guidelines and instructions on the correct response in case of maritime accidents.
