The Ministry of Interior confirmed that, as part of the security efforts undertaken by the Anti-Narcotics Directorate at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science to protect society from the scourge of drugs, the Directorate, in cooperation with the Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate, arrested a 24-year-old Asian national in possession of narcotics with a market value exceeding BD 1,300.
The Directorate explained that, upon receiving information regarding the case, Anti-Narcotics Police immediately initiated search and investigation operations, collecting evidence, which led to identifying and arresting the suspect, and seizing the narcotics in his possession. Legal proceedings have been taken and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
The Criminal Information Division noted its continued commitment to strengthening community partnership with institutions and various segments of society through lectures and exhibitions aimed at awareness and education in the field of drug prevention.
