Director-General of Civil Defence, Brigadier Ali Mohammed Al-Kubaisi, participated in the 34th meeting of the Directors-General of Civil Defence of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held in the State of Kuwait.
The meeting discussed mechanisms and means of coordination in the field of civil protection and public safety, as well as strengthening emergency response plans among GCC states, in line with the directives of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, the Ministers of Interior of the GCC. The discussions also included following up on the work of specialised technical teams and ways to further develop them.
The meeting further addressed enhancing joint cooperation in broadcasting awareness materials, organising joint training courses, and exchanging expertise. Participants were also briefed on the operating mechanisms of the GCC Emergency Management Centre, along with its coordination procedures and methods of information-sharing during emergencies.
