HH Southern Governor receives residents at the weekly governorate Majlis

In line with its commitment to public engagement and to address community needs, His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, in the presence of Deputy Southern Governor Colonel Hamad Mohammed Abdullah Al Khayyat and several officers and officials from the Southern Governorate, received prominent residents and civil society representatives at the Governorate Majlis.

In his opening address, HH the Southern Governor underscored that the Majlis’s core mission is fostering communication and social cohesion, in align with the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister. He further emphasised on prioritising the enhancement of public services to achieve the governorate’s comprehensive and sustainable development.

He stressed the indispensable role of direct dialogue, given their pioneering role in comprehensive development, noting that the weekly Majlis provides a vital channel for addressing public aspirations and following up on their needs. He affirmed its function through coordinated action with relevant authorities, all in pursuit of enhanced public service.

He also reviewed public feedback, assuring his keen follow-up and coordination with service providers to address community needs to the highest standard.

The attendees concluded by commending HH the Southern Governor for his steadfast commitment to public engagement and his effective coordination across relevant authorities to address community needs and advance the governorate's welfare.
